A Zelienople Councilman is joining the race for the newly proposed 8th House District in Pennsylvania.
Gregg Semel announced that he will seek the Republican nomination for the seat if the district passes as proposed.
The newly created district would encompass most of northern Butler County.
Semel has served on Zelienople Borough Council since 2014 and is the former owner of an automobile dealership.
His focus is on fiscal conservatism, 2nd amendment rights, and common-sense election reform.
