The Chicago Cubs held off elimination in the National League Championship Series with a 3-2 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers last night at Wrigley Field. Cubs starting pitcher Jake Arrieta allowed just one run on three hits while pitching into the seventh inning. He walked five, but struck out nine. Los Angeles now leads the series 3-1, with Game Five being played tonight in Chicago at 8:08pm.
The New York Yankees won their third straight game in the American League Championship series Wednesday, defeating the Houston Astros 5-0. New York now leads the series 3-2. Yankees starter Masahiro Tanaka allowed three hits over seven shutout innings. Game Six will be in Houston Friday night.
