–Butler defeated Norwin 3-0 in the WPIAL 3A quarterfinals. They will meet North Allegheny who defeated Baldwin 3-0 in the semifinals.
–Seneca Valley defeated Penn-Trafford 3-0.
–Cardinal Wuerl lost to top-seed Ambridge 3-0 in the 2A quarterfinals.

WPIAL Track & Field Individual Championships:
Girls:
–Butler’s 3,200-meter Relay team of Chesna Tomko, Maggie Welty, Erin LeMay and Liz Simms won in a school-record time of 9:16.62.
–Butler’s 1,600-meter Relay team were the runner-up.
–Butler’s Liz Simms was third in the 800-meter run. (Butler qualified seven for the state tournament at Shippensburg University next weekend).
–Jena Reinheimer was runner-up in the discus.
–Freeport’s Sidney Shemanski was the runner-up in the Double-A 800-meter run.
Boys:
–Butler’s Noah Beveridge won the 3,200-meter run in a time of 9:20:09.
–Jacob Wolfrum of Butler was the runner-up in the 300-meter hurdles with a new school record. Jack Codispot was runner-up in the Pole Vault.
–Seneca Valley topped Butler to win the 3,200-meter Relay
–Seneca Valley’s Zach Gehm won the Javelin over teammate Tyler Gross. Gehm was runner-up in the Shot Put.
–Seneca Valley’s Seth Ketler was the runner-up in the 800-meter run.
–Chuck Green of Mars was third in the High Jump.
–Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic’s Joseph Kearney won the Double-A Long Jump.
