Work is moving forward on the Compressed Natural Gas Fueling Station at the Butler Transit Authority office building on Hollywood Drive.
Contractors began work on clearing an area for a pad earlier this week before a building assembled off-site will be brought in by truck, placed onto the pad, and tied into gas lines.
The Authority is currently paying $7,500 per month for a temporary compressed natural gas fueling station installed late last year to allow new CNG buses to operate.
The estimated date of completion for the station is sometime in late December. The station will not be open to the public.
