An investigation is underway into a Monday afternoon fire near the Butler County line.
Authorities say the blaze started just after 3 p.m. at a home on Route 19 in Springfield Township, Mercer County. The house was destroyed and the owner- 76-year-old Carol Moore- received moderate burn injuries and was taken to West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh for treatment.
The State Police Fire Marshal Unit is investigating the origin and cause but they do say no foul play is expected.
More than 50 firefighters from three counties, including Butler, battled the flames for several hours.
