A woman has been charged with a felony for an accident that sent one person to the hospital earlier this year.
On January 31, police were called to Route 8 South at 9 p.m. for a head-on two vehicle accident. While investigating, police identified the smell of alcohol on 23-year-old Rebecca Lambert of Butler. A blood test showed Lambert was two times over the legal limit.
According to charging documents, Lambert was driving over the center turning lane and crashed head-on into the victim who needed to be transported to a Pittsburgh hospital.
Witnesses also say she was driving erratically on Route 228 before the crash.
