A Mercer County woman is facing charges for reporting a false threat to police.
It started this past Tuesday at Quality Life Services in Grove City when police received a call about a woman wearing a mask and waving a knife in the air.
When Grove City Police arrived, they found the woman in the parking lot—but discovered she was a Quality Life Services employee and that the report was completely false.
When police investigated, they found that 36-year-old Amanda Rae Dewery of Mercer made the false report to police in an attempt to get the woman in trouble.
