A woman from Butler died in a pedestrian vehicle crash in Evans City earlier this week.
State police say the crash happened Monday just after 6 p.m. on East Main Street, near the intersection with Franklin Street.
62-year-old June Ruff was crossing East Main Street when she was hit by a 31-year-old man from Lyndora.
Police say there was not a crosswalk or signs indicating it was a pedestrian crossing.
The driver collided with Ruff, causing significant injuries. Police say the driver stayed on scene and tried to help Ruff.
She was taken to a Pittsburgh trauma center where she later died from her injuries.
Police say the driver was cooperative during the investigation.
