A Butler woman is facing charges after overdosing while a baby was in her care last month.
According to a criminal complaint, police responded to an apartment in the 100 block of Saint Paul Street the afternoon of Sunday March 20th.
Upon arrival, the officer determined that medics were attempting to revive 22-year-old Amanda McCune. McCune was eventually revived using Narcan. The officer found three empty stamp bags and a plastic spoon with heroin residue in the apartment.
The officer spoke with a friend of McCune’s who came into the apartment and took care of McCune’s baby when the friend found McCune unconscious. McCune was charged with misdemeanor endangering the welfare of children as well as possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia.
