A Butler woman was arrested after police allegedly found her passed out behind the wheel of a car with a young child in the back seat.
Butler City Police officers allegedly found 38-year-old Jessie Dick slouched over a steering wheel, unresponsive, in a car on Zeigler Avenue on Tuesday night.
When she came to, an officer described Dick as “delirious and confused.”
The officer said he smelled burnt marijuana and observed a marijuana grinder in plain view. The officer also saw a thought-to-be 2-year-old child sweating and crying in the back seat.
It’s unclear what the relationship was between Dick and the child.
A search of the vehicle allegedly revealed suspected heroin and cash.
