A Butler County woman is accused of assaulting a police officer during an arrest.
A Cranberry Township officer pulled over 31-year-old Jessica Winchman earlier this month (OCT 9) after she allegedly sideswiped another vehicle on Powell Road.
According to court documents, Winchman appeared to be extremely intoxicated and had difficulty keeping her eyes open and herself upright while talking to the officer.
While en route to UPMC Cranberry to have blood drawn, Winchman allegedly became violent, kicking one of the township officers in the chest.
She was charged with felony aggravated assault and DUI. She is free on bail.
