Governor Tom Wolf says his administration is standing with Ukraine.
He spoke yesterday and said he admired the strength of the Ukrainian people. Wolf said the Keystone State has a special connection to the Ukraine.
“The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is home to 122,000 Ukrainian Americans. That’s the second highest I think of any state in the United States,” Wolf said.
Wolf also addressed that the state is looking at other actions that can be taken against Russia.
“I strongly support adding Russia to the list of countries we divest from under law,” Wolf said. “And I would sign clean legislation to require divestment of all public funds from Russian assets.”
Wolf is also asking for $2 million to be added to the refugee resettlement fund for Ukrainian people who come to Pennsylvania.
