As COVID cases and hospitalizations rise, Governor Tom Wolf is doubling down on efforts for people to get vaccinated.
Wolf says his administration is not considering any shutdowns, but rather encouraging people to get vaccinated and boosted.
Wolf’s authority now in response to the pandemic is limited after the Republican-led legislature voted to end the emergency order. However, he has requested federal help for more healthcare workers.
Currently, Pennsylvania is seeing record high daily case counts and the number of hospitalizations is the highest it’s been since the beginning of the pandemic.
