Over 200 poinsettias were delivered to local nursing home residents over the weekend through an initiative called ‘Project Poinsettia.’
The goal is to spread Christmas cheer and visit with those who may need some extra holiday cheer this time of year. ‘Project Poinsettia’ is sponsored by WISR.
The poinsettias were delivered to residents living in Sunnyview, Chicora Medical Center, Newhaven Court at Clearview, Shelbourne and Elmcroft of Saxonburg. Dancers from the Butler Center for the Performing Arts came along and performed for the residences.
Mrs. Claus also made an appearance.
