Winter weather has officially returned to western PA.
Light snow is continuing to fall off-and-on on Thursday. Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Pittsburgh are expecting another half-an-inch of snow to fall by day’s end. It’s cold as well with a high temperature expected to be only in the mid-20s.
There were no major accidents Thursday morning and all county schools are operating as normal.
An initial round of snow fell on Wednesday afternoon and likely was the cause of several accidents around the county. A car flipped onto its roof following an accident on Route 38 near Cherry Valley about 12:30 p.m.
A crash was reported about 4 p.m. on East Route 422 in Summit Township, between the Mitchell Hill Road and Route 38 exits. Another crash was reported on Old East Route 422 about 5 p.m.
