Coming off a frigid weekend, more active weather is in store this week.
The potential for freezing rain has led the National Weather Service to issue a Winter Weather Advisory for Butler County, which is in effect through 1 p.m. Tuesday.
The timeline looks like this:
-BEFORE NOON MONDAY: Patchy snow and freezing drizzle. Cloudy skies and a high near 35.
-MONDAY AFTERNOON: Light snow early Monday afternoon, changing over to sleet and freezing rain through the afternoon. The National Weather Service says the period of most intense snow/ice will be mid-afternoon through early evening Monday.
-LATE MONDAY: Freezing rain before 11 p.m., and then a mix of rain and snow after midnight. Temperatures will hang right around 32 degrees.
-TUESDAY MORNING: Rain and snow showers possible before noon, then a chance of rain showers. A high near 36.
