The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for early Friday morning through early Saturday afternoon as a clipper system is coming through the area.
A clipper system is cold air and some moisture coming down from Canada that will collide with snow building accumulation numbers.
Although, Friday night there a threat of some lake effect due to winds following the system.
“The clipper will push through and we’ll get snow from that. Behind that, the winds shift around to a better trajectory for the lakes, so we’ll get accumulation from the lake effect too,” David Shallenberger, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service, said.
Butler County is currently projected to have about one to three inches of snow.
