All Butler County school districts are closed today with a winter storm on the way.
The National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning that’s in effect now through 10 a.m. Friday.
Timing is still one of the more difficult aspects of this winter storm. An eventual switch to freezing rain is expected later this morning around 10 a.m. to noon according to the National Weather Service.
Then snow will kick in as temperatures fall—and right now how much you get depends on where you are in the county. Northern parts could get anywhere from 6 to 8 inches while southern parts like Sarver are more likely to see 1 to 2 inches.
