You’ve probably been bombarded with ads for the two candidates running in a special election for Pennsylvania’s 18th Congressional District.
That election is happening on Tuesday. It doesn’t include voters in Butler County- but many local voters have been on the receiving end of text messages and television ads from both political campaigns.
Democrat Conor Lamb is going up against Republican Rick Saccone for the seat in Congress formally occupied by Republican Tim Murphy, who resigned last year amid a sex scandal.
The race has drawn national media attention. President Trump made a trip to western Pennsylvania on Saturday on behalf of Saccone’s candidacy.
Polls show a tight race.
