Eleven new COVID-19 cases were confirmed for Butler County over the weekend.
That brings the total to 295.
As of Friday afternoon, Butler Memorial Hospital is treating eight patients for coronavirus symptoms—with two in the ICU.
This comes as neighboring Allegheny County has also seen a spike in cases, registering over 400 cases over the span of last week.
That has prompted Allegheny County officials to stop bars and restaurants from selling alcohol on-site.
Governor Tom Wolf issued a statement yesterday evening, commending the county leaders for taking action to contain the coronavirus.
