A teenager from Maryland has been charged following a stabbing in Slippery Rock last weekend.
State Police were called to Currie Road in Cooper’s Lake Campground around 11:30 p.m. Saturday night for a reported stabbing incident.
Police spoke with the 15-year-old male suspect while the male victim was being transported to Allegheny Hospital in Pittsburgh for treatment of a stab wound to the abdomen. The boy said he was sorry and allegedly confessed that he did stab the victim with a three-inch knife after he was pushed and punched in the face by the victim.
The teenager has been charged with felony aggravated assault as well as misdemeanor simple assault.
