Thursday Night Football:
–Philadelphia defeated Green Bay 34-27 at Lambeau Field. The Eagles intercepted Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers in the end zone with 28 seconds remaining to seal the victory. Carson Wentz threw three touchdown passes for Philadelphia. Rodgers had 422 yards passing and two touchdowns.
The Pittsburgh Steelers will host the CIncinnati Bengals for a Monday Night Football game at Heinz Field. Kick-off is 8:15pm, WISR pre-game is 6:15pm.
The NFL owners are trying to push a 17-game schedule that would potentially expand the playoff field from 12 to 14 teams, and eliminated the preseason. The owners had previously been seeking an 18-game season, which the players union opposes.
High School Football Friday:

Penn State will visit Maryland at 8pm to open their Big Ten schedule tonight. (WBUT will not carry the game due to Butler football). The Nittany Lions enter the game 3-0. Maryland is 2-1.
College Football Saturday:
–Pitt is hosting Delaware for a 12:30pm kickoff at Heinz Field. After playing teams ranked in the top 20 over the past two weeks, Pitt’s schedule does not currently have a ranked team for the remainder of the season.
–Slippery Rock opens up Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Western Division Play on the road to Greensburg against Seton Hill. Kick-off is 2pm, Hear the game on The Rock Station 97.7fm beginning at 1:30pm with the Coach Shawn Lutz Show. The game streams at 977rocks.com
–Grove City is hosting Washington & Jefferson at 1pm.
–Geneva’s Homecoming game will kickoff at 3pm against Waynesburg
