The City of Butler will see a number of water main upgrades later this year.
Pennsylvania American Water recently informed the City that crews are going to be replacing lines on East Brady Street, Third Street, Brugh Avenue, Fairview Avenue, McKinley Avenue, and Federal Street.
Additional work is scheduled to take place on Sullivan and Isabella Streets, Ridge Avenue, Erie and Gibson Streets, Diamond, South, and Vero Streets, as well as West Wayne Street.
The exact date of this work has not yet been determined but the contractor PA American Water hires will need to obtain permits from the city before beginning any project.
