A major water line break caused problems on North Main Street in Butler around 7:30 last evening.
The break, which resulted in a large geyser of water shooting up into the air, occurred in the 400 block of North Main, near the intersection with East Fulton Street.
First responders were called to the scene for traffic control.
Crews from Pennsylvania American Water were able to make repairs overnight, and restore water service to affected customers in that part of the city.
