A local group has received a grant to continue providing essential water to a group of local residents.
Water for Woodlands has been awarded a grant of over $13,000 that will provide a weekly supply of water for up to 60 families for approximately eight months.
This grant was secured through the Ohio River Valley COVID-19 Response Fund for environmental groups in the region to support communities and respond to needs resulting from the pandemic.
Located in Connoquenessing Township, residents of The Woodlands have been dealing with an undrinkable water supply for nearly ten years with support from White Oak Springs Presbyterian Church in Renfrew and groups like Marcellus Outreach Butler.
