Tuesday was a record-breaking day weather-wise.
According to the National Weather Service, the temperature soared to 76 degrees in Butler, smashing the current day’s record of 68 set back in the late 1800s.
The average high for this time of year is 40 degrees.
Excitement over the weather will now turn to worry as rain is in the forecast for the next several days. Flooding is possible. Several areas of Butler County flooded last Friday after melting snow combined with heavy rain causing creeks and streams to overflow.
