A Butler man is facing a charge of endangering the welfare of a child after a four-year-old was found wandering earlier this month.
According to a criminal complaint, police responded to the 400 block of Eau Claire Street just before 9 a.m. April 19th. A young child turned up at the front door of a residence with bare, bloody, and dirty feet.
The child took police back to his home where police found a knife on the porch that the child had been trying to use to get into a parked truck. The child also told police that he tried to make coffee and broke a glass coffee pot on the kitchen floor.
After several minutes of shouting, police were able to wake 28-year-old Kurt Kline who admitted that he had been drinking the night before. Children and Youth Services was contacted to get involved with the situation.
