Democrat Bob Dandoy and Republican Mike Walter won their party’s nominations in Tuesday’s primary to run for two open seats on Butler City Council.
Dandoy was the only Democratic candidate on the primary ballot. Walter defeated Republican Travis Uhl by 76 votes. Voters were able to cast ballots for two candidates, so both Walter and Uhl will appear on the Republican ticket in the fall.
Walter is a current councilman and running for a second term.
