A server at a Seven Fields restaurant is accused of stealing tens of thousands of dollars.
According to our news partners at WPXI-TV, Kimberly Cook of Cranberry Township was arrested Thursday. She is accused of stealing $73,000 during a two-year period while she was employed as a waitress at Hines Ward’s Tavern 86 restaurant. Cook allegedly admitted to taking customers’ cash payments, ringing the sale up to look like it was paid for by a gift card, then keeping the cash.
Police say management became suspicious when more gift cards were being redeemed than had been sold.
Cook has a criminal background and was arrested on charges involving theft on a few different occasions in Allegheny County. She is now in the Butler County Prison.
