Volunteers are needed for a unique event coming to Butler this summer.
The Butler County Historical Society is welcoming a group called the Walldogs, which are a group of highly skilled sign painters and mural artists from around the globe.
The group of nearly 70 artists will be in town between July 27-31 and create 10 murals.
The murals will create a walking tour of Butler and will include subjects that have helped make our county great, according to Pat Collins of the Butler County Historical Society.
Lots of volunteers are needed to successfully complete this event. Visit www.butlerwalldogs.com, go to Registration and fill out the Volunteer form to choose an area you would like to help with. Local Artists should fill in the Artist Registration form to participate.
Volunteers are especially needed to open their homes to house some of the artists while they are here. You don’t need to worry about feeding the artists since the festival committee will be taking care of all their meals. Walldogs start early and many work late into the night. Please visit the website and click on Hosting a Walldog to fill out the form to house an artist or two.
