Villanova won the NCAA men’s basketball championship last night with a thrilling 77-74 victory over North Carolina. The Wildcats Kris Jenkins hit a three point shot at the buzzer to win the game in Houston. Jenkins’ shot came just seconds after North Carolina’s Marcus Paige hit a three-pointer to tie the game. It was Villanova’s first national championship since 1985.
Tonight the University of Connecticut women will attempt to become the first women’s team to win four consecutive national championships. They face Syracuse in Indianapolis. Tip-off is 8:30pm.
