At least one person was seriously injured as a result of a vehicle crash and fire on Fairground Hill Road Wednesday afternoon.
The call came into the Butler County 911 Center shortly after 1 p.m. for a vehicle that hit a gas line near the Family Bowlaway.
Crews from Butler Township, Butler City, and Butler Ambulance arrived on the scene to find a vehicle fully involved with fire as well as a male motorist initially unresponsive.
The gas company needed to be contacted to shut off the service to the line so that crews were able to get control of the blaze. A helicopter was called to land at Butler Memorial Hospital.
