No one was hurt when a vehicle crashed into the Applebee’s in Butler Township on Tuesday.
It was about noon when a van jumped the curb, traveled through some landscaping and hit the restaurant- cracking some stone near the bottom of the building.
The van only had some minor damage. Butler Township Fire Marshall Chris Switala was called to the scene to assess the damage to the building, which appeared to be mostly superficial.
Diners inside the restaurant reported hearing a loud thud. According to Switala, the inside of the building was pushed in a couple of inches but no one was sitting at the booth where the damage occurred.
