A Valencia woman is facing charges after she allegedly broke into her fiance’s home and assaulted him.
Brenda Ainsworth, 49, was arrested Sunday night by Middlesex Township Police but police say the alleged assault happened in Butler Township.
According to court documents, Ainsworth and her fiancé got into an argument at a Super Bowl party. The argument escalated, and Ainsworth is accused of ramming in the front door of his home on October Drive and then kicking, jumping on and scratching him.
Police allege the man sustained injuries to his head, back and side.
“Ainsworth forced open the front door, which struck the victim in the head, causing him to fall into a banister,” according to a police criminal complaint.
Ainsworth left the scene of the confrontation but was pulled over by police for a traffic stop. She was then taken into custody and charged.
