Local veterans will have the opportunity to learn about and volunteer to join an important program later this week.
A presentation on the Million Veteran Program will be given this Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at VA Butler Healthcare on New Castle Road.
All veterans enrolled at VA Butler Healthcare are invited to learn more about this national, voluntary research program funded by the Department of Veterans Affairs Office of Research and Development. The goal of this program is to study how genes affect health and almost 10,000 Western Pennsylvania veterans have signed on to be part of the program over the past five years.
