VA Butler Healthcare will host their first Multi-Cultural Day Event this Friday.
Veterans, family members, volunteers and VA staff are invited to attend this gathering Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at VA Butler Healthcare Auditorium on New Castle Road in Butler Township.
Some of the events scheduled for the day include taekwondo demonstrations, cooking demonstrations, cultural dance performances and a veteran speaker on the Cherokee Tribe. A farmers market will also be held where those who attend will be able to purchase locally grown produce.
The goal of the event is to raise awareness of programs like Women’s History Month, Hispanic Heritage Month, Disability Awareness Month and Black History Month.
