A special event for women veterans will be held later this week by VA Butler Healthcare.
The fourth annual Winter Women’s Wellness event is scheduled for this Friday (2/3) from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the VA Butler Healthcare Auditorium on New Castle Road.
The event will include a light lunch, a presentation by a Women’s Healthcare provider, a cooking demonstration with healthy pizzas for those who attend, and a movie. Participants will also have the chance to learn more about VA programs and services as well as enjoy an afternoon of relaxation and wellness.
Those attending are also encouraged to wear red for National Wear Red Day to bring attention to heart disease which is the leading cause of death for women.
