A special exhibit featuring Pennsylvania’s namesake battleship is about to close in Harrisburg.
The State Museum in Harrisburg began featuring the exhibit on the USS Pennsylvania in December titled: “Pennsylvania At War: The Saga of the USS Pennsylvania.”
The ship was launched just before the start of World War I and it was at Pearl Harbor on December 7th, 1941- sustaining damage and losing more than 20 crewman.
The exhibit features a model of the ship, uniforms and other personal artifacts from crew members.
It closes Friday.
