The United States finished the Tokyo Olympic Games as the only country to win at least 100 medals, taking home 113 to China’s 88. The U.S. also took home the most Gold medals, edging China 39-38.
The United State women’s volleyball team won an Olympic Gold medal for the first time following a 3-0 victory over Brazil Sunday. The U.S. team had won three silver medals and two bronze since reaching the medal stand in 1984.
Saturday – track athlete Allyson Felix anchored the U.S. women’s 4×400 relay to the Gold Medal, earning her 11th career medal. That broke a tie with Carl Lewis for the most track medals in U.S. history.
