April unemployment numbers show that Pennsylvania is returning almost to pre-pandemic rates.
The Department of Labor reports that April had an unemployment rate of 4.8 percent, which is down one-tenths percent compared to March.
That number is also significantly down compared even to last April, when unemployment was 6.9 percent.
The latest figures show that the largest gains were in the construction industry.
