Oneida Valley Road near Hooker was briefly closed Friday afternoon due to car fire. The incident happened not far from the intersection with Rider Road, the scene of an accident earlier in the week that also closed Route 38 for a time. Emergency responders were called to the scene just after 12:15pm Friday. Traffic was impacted for nearly an hour. No injuries were reported.
Muddy Creek Drive in Brady Township was closed for several hours Friday after a tree came down onto some power lines. The incident happened in the 400-block. Township and utility crews were called in to clear the damage.
A 50-year old man suffered a medical incident Friday morning at the Butler Walmart off New Castle Road. The Stat medical helicopter had to be called in to the landing zone at the VA hospital. The man was transported to Presbyterian hospital in Pittsburgh.
