As we reach the end of the year, blood donations still remain at extremely low levels.
A blood drive will be held today outside of our Butler Radio Network building on Pillow Street.
It runs from noon until 4 p.m., and while appointments are recommended, walk-ups will be taken.
There will also be another blood drive at St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church on West Jefferson Street from noon to 6 p.m. Organizers say no appointment is necessary.
Kristin Lane with Vitalant also reminds residents that your blood donation will remain local.
“The Butler Health System is one our biggest partners. We provide all of the blood Butler Health System needs for its patients,” Lane said. “Patients who may not survive without the blood.”
