Two people died in a fatal crash yesterday in Armstrong County.
It happened around 8:30 a.m. in the northbound lane of Route 28 in North Buffalo Township.
Police say 44-year-old Michael Gargett and 46-year-old Mara Reilly, both of Pittsburgh, were driving when they swerved to miss a car on the shoulder of the road and lost control.
Their vehicle then collided with a box truck.
The Armstrong County coroner pronounced them dead at the scene. It’s believed the wet weather and speed played a factor in the crash.
