Two people were injured, one seriously, as a result of a two car accident on Route 422 in Franklin Township on Saturday.
The State Police in Butler say that moments before 7pm on Saturday, 52-year-old Daniel Deighan of Cranberry Township pulled out in front of a pickup driven by 60-year-old Pauline Rankin of Emlenton at the intersection of Route 422 and Route 488.
Authorities say the Deighan was taken to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh with moderate injuries. A 54-year-old passenger in Rankin’s vehicle was flown to UPMC Presbyterian with life-threatening injuries. Rankin was uninjured.
A police investigation into the crash is ongoing.
