Two former Steelers were named to the Hall of Fame last night.
Linebacker Kevin Greene and coach Tony Dungy received calls from Canton, Ohio last night among others. Greene was a linebacker for the Steelers from 1993-1995 and Dungy played for the Steelers in the late 70s and coached on the Steelers staff from 1981-1988. Dungy won a Super Bowl as head coach of the Indianapolis Colts in 2007.
Steelers offensive lineman Alan Faneca was cut from the final list in his first year of eligibility.
Other players to make the Hall of Fame were Brett Favre, Marvin Harrison, Orlando Pace, Dick Stanfel, and Ken Stabler. Former San Francisco 49ers owner Eddie DeBartolo, and Youngstown, Ohio native, was also named to the hall.
