A local man and a man from Ohio are both facing charges following a drug bust at a Butler City home last week.
Shortly after 11 a.m. Friday, City Police and officers with the Butler County District Attorney’s Drug Task Force executed a search warrant for a home in the 200 block of American Avenue.
Police arrested 62-year-old Mark Sowa of Butler and 20 year-old Jonathan “Beans” Perez of Youngstown after they found heroin, crack cocaine, and powder cocaine. Officers also seized $1,500 in cash and other drug paraphernalia.
Sowa was booked into the Butler County Prison on $50,000 bond for charges including felony Criminal Conspiracy while Perez was committed on $100,000 bond for Possession with Intent to Deliver but he was able to post bail and was released.
