Two local residents are being charged with theft after allegedly stealing money from a business earlier this week.
Butler Township Police say they received a call from security at Mad Skillz Gaming at the Greater Butler Mart around 3 a.m. Wednesday.
Officers found 22-year-old Jason Priester and 36-year-old Tressa Kirkwood both of Evans City attempting to flee with an undisclosed amount of cash after wearing ski masks and using crowbars to break into a payment kiosk machine.
The pair were booked into the Butler County Prison on charges of conspiracy, theft by unlawful taking, criminal mischief, and possessing instruments of crime.
