The Pennsylvania Turnpike is warning about recent phone scams targeting drivers in the state.
Officials say scammers are impersonating the turnpike commission and other toll agencies warning recipients they owe turnpike toll fees.
The scammer then sends an online link looking for payment.
Turnpike officials say this is a scam and people that receive an unsolicited text or email from someone appearing to be the turnpike, need to ignore the message.
You can safely check your account on the Turnpike’s EZ Pass website.
