Effective Sunday morning, motorists who utilize the Pennsylvania Turnpike will see another increase in tolls.
A six percent hike will be implemented for all motorists, regardless of whether they pay with cash or use an E-Z Pass. At the start of last year, motorists experienced another six percent increase.
The most common toll for a passenger vehicle will increase from $1.30 to $1.38 for E-ZPass customers, and from $2.10 to $2.25 for those paying cash.
Officials say the money will be used to reinvest in the turnpike’s aging infrastructure and to continue ongoing improvement efforts.
Turnpike tolls have increased for 11 straight years. Toll hikes are expected to increase on an annual basis until at least 2044.
