The Pennsylvania Turnpike will replace traditional toll collection with all-electronic tolling at a bridge in the eastern part of the state.
Officials say motorists will no longer stop to pay tolls at the Delaware River Bridge, which connects Bristol, Pa. with Burlington Township, New Jersey. Drivers will either pay the toll with their E-ZPass account or will get a bill in the mail after their license plate is photographed.
The commission says the new system will reduce travel times, improve safety and reduce auto emissions.
